- What is a wire marker?
- Cotton or plastic film stick-on materials (soft and peel-resistant, unlike labels) frequently used (with marker location device etc.) to mark cables and wires to indicate whereto they are connected.
- Indicate suitable applications of wire markers by their type.
- KTD-100 is suited for applications at normal temperature in harnesses such as control panel, while KTD-200N may be used in motor harnesses in harsh environment including high temperature.
- Are there any oil-resistant or water-resistant wire markers available?
- KTD-200N that employs acrylic adhesive is suited for such applications.
- Which is used most?
- KTD-100 is.
- Which is temporally durable?
- KTD-200N is.
- Is there any chronological change (discoloration)?
- Material yellowing and adhesive deterioration are found in KTD-100, while no particular change in KTD-200N.
- What is the minimum ordering quantity?
- 50 sheets. Order for smaller quantity is acceptable at an increased price.
- Is it possible to print characters on colored background?
- Acceptable as a custom-order.
- Is it possible to specify cut lines as required?
- Possible, while an additional cost will be charged for trimming die.
- Is it easy to replace an old marker with new one?
- It is difficult to peel off an old marker for replacement, while it is possible to apply a new marker over old one.
- Is it possible to change the number of markers per sheet?
- It is possible, but it will be treated as a custom-made item due to change in dimensions (W and/or L).
- How much difference in price is there between standard and custom-made items?
- Custom-made item price is 2.5 to 3 times as that of standard item.
- What is the reason of such price difference as mentioned above?
- Difference in production lots and the additional management cost for the plate, cutting die and trimming die.
- Do they meet RoHS directive?
- Yes, they do. But some of the products we handled in the past contained substances restricted by RoHS directive.
- Are there any RoHS-compliant and UL-approved products available?
- Unfortunately nothing at present.
- Does sebum on the hand contribute to the peeling-off?
- Adhesion of sebum may cause peeling-off. It is therefore recommended to wash hands with soap and water before work. It is suggested not to touch adhesive surface with bare hand.
